Brunei

Brunei Darussalam may be the second smallest country in Southeast Asia but it is one of the richest countries in the world that also boasts the largest oilfields in Southeast Asia.

Located on Borneo Island, sandwiched between the Malaysian states of Sabah and Sarawak, the oil-and-gas-rich sultanate is a sovereign, independent, democratic Islamic monarchy.

Comprising four districts – Temburong, Tutong, Belait and Brunei Muara – the country is separated into two regions by Sarawak’s Limbang district.
