Thailand Eat

Characterised by a blend of sweet, sour, salty and spicy flavours which come from the use of aromatics, a range of herbs and spices, and the ubiquitous fish sauce, Thai cuisine is one of the most sought-after foods in the world.

Thai food draws influences from China, India, Indonesia, as well as its neighbours Malaysia and Myanmar, and each region has its own specialty dishes that are steeped in tradition.

A typical Thai meal consists of rice eaten with curries, vegetable dishes, meat dishes, dips and sauces. Noodles (especially rice noodles), cooked in a variety of ways, are also popular.

As markets and street food are a huge part of Thai food culture, no visit is complete without stepping into one of its many day, night or walking markets or eating its plethora of tasty street food.
