5 Celebratory Experiences To Mark Sentosa’s Golden Jubilee

It’s Sentosa’s 50th birthday and the island is celebrating with a host of new activities and fun experiences that centre around the theme of “Discovery Neverending”.

Get set to discover lesser-known sites on Sentosa, explore its diverse facets and much more through various leisure experiences that commemorate the island’s transformation from its beginnings as a fishing village and military base to one of the world’s leading leisure destinations today.

Here are five experiences, activities and deals you can look forward to.

SentoSights

Explore a different side of the island through SentoSights, a series of sustainability- and heritage-themed tours curated by Sentosa Development Corporation and travel partners such as Monster Day Tours, The Untamed Paths, Beyond Expeditions, Pudu Puda Travel, Tribe and Wanderlust Adventures.

There are more than 10 unique guided tours which lets you rediscover gems such as Fort Siloso, Fort Serapong, Tanjong Rimau, and the Imbiah and Coastal Trails.

Expect fun elements such as game-based exploration, magic demonstrations and night-time forest walks on the tours.

Explore Fort Siloso through a game-based puzzle hunt; check out lesser-known sites on the island while being entertained by street magic performances and magic-infused storytelling; learn how to spot and identify birds on an introductory birdwatching tour; or discover a hidden world beneath the ocean and more when the tide retreats.

There are also night adventure tours where you get to peek into the lives of Sentosa’s nocturnal creatures with the help of a small torch, or explore the Southern Islands on a sunset cruise and pick up some tips on sustainable fishing, plus an option to dine on the yacht before heading back.

Silver Deals

Seniors are in for a treat as Sentosa is offering exclusive discounts and deals on weekdays for all Singaporeans and PRs aged 60 and above.

Present a valid photo ID or PAssion Silver Concession Card to enjoy Singapore Cable Car rides for just $5, one-for-one admission to Madame Tussauds Singapore, a 50 percent discount at Sentosa 4D AdventureLand on its “four-in-one” combo, and many more.

Stories Of Discovery

This Stories of Discovery social media contest, which will be launched on 7 February, collects heart-warming photos and memories of Sentosa from guests. The 10 best entries will be included in a special celebration video, and up for grabs is a curated Sentosa experience package, which includes a 3D2N staycation on the island.

Sentosa Passport & Golden Jubilee Draw

From March, every $20 that you spend at participating businesses on Sentosa will get you one stamp on your digital Sentosa Passport. Each stamp collected will give you one chance in the Golden Jubilee Grand Draw to win attractive prizes and experiences worth $50,000, among other prizes. Experiences worth $1,000 will also be up for grabs every month.

You can also redeem two prizes with the accumulated stamps – once after collecting 10 stamps, and another with 20 stamps. Sentosa Islander members and guests who made purchases with their Mastercard credit or debit card can redeem their second prize with only 18 stamps.

Flavours Of Sentosa

Look out also for Sentosa beer and ice creams crafted in collaboration with homegrown brands Brewerkz and Udders in the coming months. The beer and ice creams feature flavours that are inspired by the history of the island and tastes that embody Sentosa’s sunny vibrancy.
